Anna wins second doubles title for 2009

Anna was pleased with the result since she and her doubles partner Marta Sirotkina from Russia won the super tiebreak 11-9 after being down 4-9. A repeat from the first round. Final result was 3-6 6-4 (11-9).

It has been a long week with the adjustment to the hot weather and hard court surface. Anna made it through the Womens Singles Qualifying Draw after defeating Karolina Chernya from Uzbekistan 6-4 6-1. In the Main Draw Anna defeated another local player Alisa Ogordova in the first round in straight sets, 7-6(6) 6-4. Unfortunately, Anna did not manage to get ahead in the second round and eventually lost to Elena Kulikova 6-4 6-3.
