Anna gets financial advice from SEB
Right now, Anna Brazhnikovas schedule consists of a couple of weeks of rest and physical training to prepare her body for the upcoming season which starts in January.
Therefore it was a good time to meet up with her private financial advisor at SEB in Uppsala, who gives Anna financial advice though out her tennis career. Earlier this year Anna Brazhnikova opened bank accounts and bank cards with SEB. Today, SEB has also assisted Anna with starting her own business, which is tailor-made to her tennis career. All these services are part of her sponsorship partnership with the leading bank.
- We have now helped Anna to start a sole proprietorship and with SEB:s business package it will become easier for her to distinguish between their private money and the money that is related to her tennis career, says Jan Gustafsson, Private Advisor at SEB.
- In addition to all this it will be the Internet services and the debit card that Anna will use on a daily basis since she is travelling around the world most of the year, says Jan Gustafsson, Private Advisor at SEB.
At the meeting the question of retirement savings was raised because a professional tennis player like Anna must take care of that on her own.
- I think its a bit early, said Anna.
- Saving for retirement is particularly important for Anna with the career she has chosen, even if she is young, so its something we can look at next time we meet, said Jan Gustafsson, Private Advisor at SEB.
2009 is Anna Brazhnikovas last year as a junior and she decided to focus 100% on the womens pro circuit. In the year to date, Anna has played 20 events worldwide, from Australia to Nigeria.
- I love to travel and to play on the tour, says Anna.
And her effort has paid off, as she has advanced from a womens world ranking position of #1037 to #421 this year. The goal for 2010 is to take the step up among the top-200 and long term to play in the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. It will take a lot of hard work and dedication to break into the top-60 players in the world in 2,5 years. However, Anna is confident that she will accomplish her goals.
In early December, Anna will visit the SEB Next Generation camp for juniors in Stockholm.
- Its great that Anna will be involved in SEB Next Generation camp. I think she is a good role-model for the young tennis kids, and it is interesting for them to meet someone who has just taken the step onto the world tour, says Joakim Gustafsson at SEB Sponsorship & Event.
