Tournaments in Turkey & Egypt
Anna Brazhnikova is currently training in Sweden after a session of ITF pro-circuit tournaments in Greece and Egypt.
The trip started off with a flight from Gothenburg with all the players from Lidköping Tennisklubb. By Anna´s side was the coach Elena Demidova and Julius Demburg.
The outdoor clay season was under way and the first two tournaments were played in Antalya, Turkey, where Anna reached two quarter finals last year. Unfortunately, Anna´s singles matches did not meet last year´s expectations in the singles loosing early on in the tournaments. In the doubles, Anna played with former doubles partner Hilda Melander, who partnered up with in the European Team Championships last year.
The following two weeks Anna spent in Egypt playing a $10,000 tournament in Ain Elsokhna-Suiz and one 25,000$ in Cairo. Last year Anna reached two semi-finals last year at the $10,000 tournaments in Ain Elsokhna-Suiz. This year only managed to top that performance in the doubles tournament winning the $10,000 tournament with partner Marta Sirotkina.
