Sweden defeated China in Fed Cup World Group II Playoffs
Sweden advanced to the World Group 2011 after winning a playoff against China, P.R., on 25-26 April 2010 in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Anna´s trip back from Egypt to the Fed Cup preparations was delayed due to volcano ashes. Resulting in a three day wait in Egypt before travelling from Egypt to Athens, to Prague, to Oslo and finally arrive to Helsingborg and meet up with her Swedish Fed Cup team mates.
Team Sweden consisted of Sofia Arvidsson, Johanna Larsson, Anna Brazhnikova and Ellen Allgurin.
Delays due to volcano ashes caused the matches to be moved to Sunday and Monday. Swedish players Sofia and Johanna managed to win the important singles matches against Shuai Peng and Shuai Zhang, and eventually securing the advancement for team Sweden.

Team Captain, Maria Strandlund Tomsvik was thrilled:
- We think this is huge, it is good for Swedish tennis and Swedish women´s tennis. Lots of juniors have been here watching both during the practice- and tournament days. The players beat some very good players this week and it is very important to show everybody that it is possible.
Next year Sweden will play Fed Cup among the top 16 nations in the world. The first round starts in February and Sweden will either face Germany, Spain, Serbia or the Ukraine. Which country Sweden will face will be decided on 2 June 2010 at the Fed Cup Draw.
