Play started just after lunch and Anna got off to a good start with a 6-3 win in the first set. The Ukrainian player Tetyana hit back in the second set with a 6-0 win over Anna. The third set was eventually won by the right-handed player from Ukraine 6-2. The end of the match was characterized by several hard hitting ground strokes by Anna which could not be capitalized.
Next up is the ITF Pro-Circuit tournament in Ystad, Sweden, before going into the WTA Tournament in Båstad, Sweden.
Anna’s doubles matches with long time partner Marta Sirotkina ended on Wednesday evening when the Swedish-Russian duo lost the quarterfinal in straight sets 5-7 1-6 to Julia Glushko (Turkey) and Pemra Ozgen (Russia).

Women´s Cup update
Anna Brazhnikova’s made it to the second round after a win in the third set tiebreak. Her opponent in the 2nd round of the Rolls Royce Women’s Cup in Kristinehamn was the Ukrainian player – Arefyeva Tetyana – ranked 339.
