Anna helps the charity MinStoraDag
Anna Brazhnikova has agreed to play an exhibition tennis match as a part of charity work for the non-profit organisations - MinStoraDag - annual charity auction. All the proceeds from the auction go to MinStoraDags activities.
The purpose of the non-profit organisation MinStoraDag (= Swedish for "My Great Day") is to realize the dreams of kids with severe illnesses. The kids are between the age of 3-18 years old and live in Sweden. MinStoraDag also organises special group events at the hospitals plus outdoor camps.
It is the doctors at the University Hospitals around the country the identify and select the kids who can wish for a "Great Day". These special activities allow the kids to have a break from the long days in the hospitals and difficult treatments.
In a childs imagination funny things can happen: imagine going to a concert with your favourite artist, gettting a pony or the doll you have been longing for, meeting your sport idol or taking a ride on a motor-cross bike!
In 2008 a total of 135 wishes came true! MinStoraDag also hosted 150 group events and six camps so that over 1,000 kids got a well deserved break from their stay at the hospital.
The non-profit organisation MinStoraDags goal is to realize as many dreams as possible. Visit www.MinStoraDag.org to get more information or to make a donation.
